Transmissions are the most neglected part on any vehicle. You change the oil every 3,000 miles, you charge your A/C unit, check water in your radiator, etc. But until there is an issue of mobility, you just don't think of your transmission.

Here are some tips to keep your transmission working properly:

  • Check the level and condition of your transmission fluid

  • Check for leaks on the ground and the back of vehicle (will be moist with fluid if leaking only while driving)

  • Change your transmission fluid, filter and gasket at least once per year or every 15,000 miles whichever comes first.
